The “Dark Chocolate” in dark chocolate orange essence fudge means, really dark.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups All Natural, 80-100% Cacao Chocolate, Dark Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 bar All Natural, 100% Cacoa Chocolate, Baking Chocolate
- 14 oz. All Natural, Fat Free, Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 whole orange (for 2 1/2 Tbsp. Fresh Squeezed, Orange Juice & 1 Tbsp. Fresh Grated, Orange Essence
- 1 Stick Real Butter
Directions:
Put all the chocolate and milk in a double boiler. The double boiler needs to be placed over hot water (hot, but not boiling). Stir the contents often, until all chocolate is melted and thoroughly mixed with milk.
Over a separate bowl, grate the peal off of one whole orange, using a Parmesan cheese grater, until you have 1 Tbsp. of Fresh Grated, Orange Essence. Then squeeze the same orange until you have 2 Tbsp. of Fresh Squeezed, Orange Juice. Stir the essence and juice until the essence appears to be well coated in orange juice.
Once all the chocolate is melted and thoroughly mixed with the milk, stir in the Orange Essence/Juice mixture. Stir this mixture thoroughly.
Using a cold stick of Real Butter, rub it on the bottom and sides of an 8″ square pan. Immediately spoon the contents of the double boiler into the 8″ pan. Spread the fudge evenly. Refrigerate fudge for 2 hours (or longer), until firm.
Cut and serve. Store covered, at room temperature.
